Australia vs England historical scorecards (1990 to 2011)
(NB: DICC Treasurer, Mr. Sumit Jain, will assist and signpost to CricHeroes upon request)
Purpose:
- Promote the development of Deaf Cricket (DICC) with statistics, rankings and other (IP) contents with increasing the profile of Deaf Cricket
- Comply with ICC Disability eligibility criteria
- To provide a pathway for nations to enter Deaf World Cups which are limited to 8 Member Nations • To encourage the playing of more Deaf International matches between DICC World Cups
- To encourage the playing of more domestic Deaf cricket (men’s & women’s)
Entry requirements:
- Fulfilment of ICC Disability Criteria (via CricHeroes app or send scanned copies to DICC)
- Including recognition letter of DICC Member (Deaf Association) by hearing board (in written English as per headed paper and signed)
- Team / squad photos of each match with players, match fixture details and dates entered onto CricHeroes
- DICC Member contact details including: - Chairperson, Secretary, email, mobile, social media etc
- Players’ entries and CricHeroes scorecards to be verified / ratified by DICC Executive Board
- CricHeroes Scorecards to be verified / ratified by DICC Executive Board
- International / domestic events to be pre-approved and signed by DICC Member
- Entry fee of US$X X per DICC Member
- Streaming (not mandatory but desirable)
- Players profiles (not mandatory but desirable)
- All CricHeroes match scorecards must be submitted within 21 days of the match completion or, ideally, scored live via CricHeroes.
How it will work:
- All historic Deaf match scorecards to be added to CricHeroes where new DeafICC National Team Rankings will be collated. Historical scorecards should be scanned and sent to DICC as soon as possible for ALL international matches and any available domestic Deaf v Deaf grassroots matches.
- Player rankings will be produced from this data and will be ongoing.
Ranking points:
- Ranking Points will be awarded for playing a DeafICC approved international Deaf match against another DeafICC member nation, with more points for the winners but points for participation too.
International points:
- 50.00 points for a win per game
- 30.00 points for a tie / draw per game
- 10.00 points for a loss per game
Domestic points:
- 1.00 points will also be awarded for each MEN’s Deaf only match (Deaf v Deaf) at grassroots level in DeafICC approved competitions.
- 1.00 points will also be awarded for each WOMEN’s Deaf only match (Deaf v Deaf) at grassroots level in DeafICC approved competitions.
- NB: Each member shall have a maximum of 10 points per calendar year for MEN’s domestic matches
- NB: Each member shall have a maximum of 10 points per calendar year for WOMEN’s domestic matches
Proceeding points:
- Ranking points will be awarded 100% for the previous 12 months, 75% for the preceding year, 50% for the year before that and 25% for the first 12-month period.
- All nations will start with zero points on 1st January 2022.
- The top nations as of 1st January each year will qualify automatically for the proceeding DeafICC World subject to entry requirements including entry fees, ICC Disability Criteria and ICSD ID verification for players

- New Zealand – NZDCA have suspended Deaf Cricket for 12 months due to Covid. DICC to contact Catherine Campbell to request for the official letter of recognition of NZDCA
- India – BCCI have forged affiliation with the disability group – DCCI - talk in progress re: letters. BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, have signed an affiliation with Differently Abled Cricket of India (DCCI) https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/differently-abled-get-bcci-boost-23168863 Sumit Jain is Executive Member of DCCI, Chairman of Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) and Treasurer of DICC.
