What is the purpose of Deaf Cricket

It provides an opportunity, inclusion and pathway for Deaf cricketers to represent their country on the global stage. Away from the excluded and long isolated days spent with the hearing cricket communities when there is no level playing field on and off the pitch, in particular with tactics, technical aspects. Coaching, building personal relationships with fellow cricketers, performances on the field and so on.

Deaf Cricket can offer hearing impaired cricketers that level playing field, empowerment, fulfillment, enjoyment, Deaf peers, Deaf role models, enabling and aspirations of winning the World Cup and other international tournaments for their countries.

DeafICC History

Theinaugural DeafICC AGM took place in Dubai, UAE, in March 2013 when it was attended by the following countries; Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. The 50 overs DICC Championship 2016 followed at ICCAcademy in Dubai Sports City.
